Changes: Playable Characters

The full version of The Consuming Shadow contains several playable characters for the player to choose from before beginning a new game. These are unlocked as the player levels up and witnesses the game's different endings.

Different characters receive different kinds of text messages and have different resources available to them. These characters level up separately, so the player may be at Level 3 as The Scholar, but only at Level 1 as The Ministry Man.

Characters

The Scholar (Unlocked by default)

First character available to the player
No particular strengths or weaknesses
Has 60 hours to discover the Ritual of Banishment and stop the Invader

The Ministry Man (Unlockable)

Starts with 100 pounds and knowledge of the full Ritual of Banishment, but no knowledge of which god is the Invader.
Has only 24 hours to discover the identity of the Invader and stop it.

The Warrior (Unlockable)

Has no weapon.
Enhanced melee ability. Longer range, and increased damage. However, you are can't move while attacking.
Has a dodge ability. It is a short backstep animation during which the player takes no damage.
